For example, If it's Tuesday, this must be Belgium analyzes which days of the week people visit cities. Associate dates with visits to places, number crunch and you get this map.
Other things we tried were to look at where people take pictures and correlate that with the sights that are there. You can then go one step further and take the weather into account - places where people always take pictures no matter what the weather are a good bet to go with bad weather, while places where people mostly take pictures on a sunny day, are best visited when it is also sunny
