Everybody knows those magnetic poetry kits that let you form poems with magnetic words on your refrigerator. This projects lets you do the same thing on the web. You can move the words by dragging them around on the screen and form whatever poem that you like.
Below you'll see only the part of the virtual refrigerator belonging to this site. Within this window, you can move words around, create poetry, do what you want. But this is only a 500x500 pixels area on a 1600x1600 refrigerator. Other people have their own area's and you can see what they are doing, by using the virtual desktop in the bottom corner. But you cannot edit, unless you go to their page (which you can easily do by clicking the urls).
You can join this werid community of connected refrigerators. Enter the url where you'll put the applet, press enter and you get a piece of code to paste in your html code.
Use the form below to join. Just enter your url and click submit. Paste the resulting code into your html code and you're set
Please use the application for all your poetic instincts, but try not to misuse it. I know, you can steal words from others,
by going there, moving the words to other desktops etc, etc. It is fine if you need the word for something special, but otherwise, try
to leave the work of others.
Source code. Depends on the words coming from the server

really, really cool. Awesome. You rock, your site rocks. Have a nice day.
Cool! ....one thought though by Neil
I love the idea that it is shared between sites and that only "your" portion can be modified. Very cool!
One issue though... I do think it is hard to read with the site url's spread within the space. It might be nice to have a button to display the url's that subscribe to the Poetry space and/or pass a another variable within the url to control (turn on/off) the display of the url links.
Also, I wish there was a way to specify the words to supply.
Possible embed? by Mere
Hello, I would love to put this on my LiveJournal and MySpace. Any chance of a code that would work on those sites? Wonderful work!! (: M
